The 4000 CMS is a multi-therapy infusion system with flexible communication capabilities. It helps ensure faster, safer, more accurate programming of complex infusion protocols and helps reduce data entry related medication errors.
Infusion, LLC is committed to providing immunoglobulin (IG) therapy for both children and adults to patients with various chronic autoimmune neuromuscular and immune deficit disorders. Autoimmune disorders are conditions caused by an immune response against the body’s own tissue. This is caused by a hypersensitivity reaction similar to an allergy, where the immune system reacts to substances it normally would ignore. A person may experience multiple autoimmune disorders at once.
Immunoglobulin (IG) therapy, a concentrate of antibodies purified from blood plasma, helps prevent a vast number of bacterial and viral diseases, and other autoimmune diseases. It is also used in the treatment and maintenance of patients unable to produce sufficient antibodies. IG is administered either intravenously (IV) or subcutaneously (SC) and is given by a pump. Infusion time is generally over 4 to 6 hours. Response to treatment is usually seen within a few days.
Indications for Immunoglobulin (IG):
• Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
• Myasthenia gravis
• Guillain-Barre’ Syndrome
• Idiopathic Thrombocytapenia
• Kawasaki Disease
• Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)
• Pemphigus and Pemphigoid Disease
